So, Diwali being one of the most important festivals in India requires a lot of preparation. The most important and generally first thing on our minds is what to wear. Lets see. Maybe I can help you out.
1)LEHENGA WITH CROP TOP
You know those heavy lehengas you wear on weddings and feel like you’ll probably never wear again? Bring them on out! Pair it with a simple crop top and let it work for you.
2) LEHENGA WITH A BUTTON DOWN SHIRT
This is pretty different. But if youre willing to try something new, try a plain button down long with a lehenga or long skirt.
3)LEHENGA WITH A JACKET
Another way you can use the lehenga is with a smart formal jacket. You can also pair it with a bolero or peplum jacket.
4) PLAIN SUIT WITH EMBROIDERED DUPATTA
Going back to the basics, you can wear a plain white or plain black suit with a heavily embroidered dupatta.
5) SUIT WITH PALAZZOS
Palazzos or straight pants with long kurtas are pretty popular these days, so why not go ahead and wear something like that.
Wear a dress with Indian accessories. Indian jewelry in itself is absolutely beautiful.
7)KURTI AND JEANS OR DHOTI
Pair a silk kurti with your favourite jeans and dress it up. If it gets cold, you could add an embroidered vest over it. Dhotis are pretty fashionable these days. Its something worth trying.
8)SIMPLE SALWAAR KAMEEZ
The most simple outfit which you’d probably already have in your closet is a salwar kameez. When in doubt, work with what you know and are confident about.
9)WRAP-AROUND SKIRT
These are pretty simple to wear and can be matched with anything imaginable, be it a t-shirt or a short kurti.
10)SARI
Go all out and wear a sari if you can handle it! Choose a light one though.
All in all, you should wear whatever you want to wear. Do what works for you! Its all about having your own style and taking risks. And most importantly, choose your accessories wisely!
